This week got off the rails a bit, but oh well! For the rest of the year my focus is learning to swim and not look like a person on the verge of drowning, and I worked pretty hard on that this week. An hour of swimming laps is way more fun than what I did, though: an hour of literally just kicking and rotating. Sooooo boring.
This Week’s Training Was Brought To You By…
A Study in Triangles (The Silver Theater): Kind of like a less good Twilight Zone episode.
The Old Maid (Lux): Pretty good, actually. It was inventively recorded, though my god those lady-feels are pretty psycho. Bette Davis is in the movie, but I haven’t seen it.
Jane Eyre (Lux): Orson Welles! They missed some pretty major parts of the novel, and if you compare it to the novel it feels so flimsy, but I mean, what can you expect in an hour, seriously.
Goodbye, Mr. Chips (Lux): Laurence Olivier and Edna Best! Still don’t particularly like this story, and this is, what, the third version of it I’ve seen/heard? Why do I keep going back thinking it will get better?
True To Your Heart, from Disney’s Mulan: Not sure how exactly, but this song I literally haven’t thought of since Mulan came out in 1998 got stuck in my head.
